Macbook Neo: A Strong All-Around Package at an Entry-Level Price
Technology That Makes Life Better
With the MacBook Neo, presented on March 4, 2026, Apple is sending a clear signal in the lower price segment.
At €699, the device offers a surprisingly affordable way to enter the Apple Mac world. Despite the price pressure, much of it remains typically Apple: the battery life easily lasts through the day. The aluminum body feels high-quality, the display impresses with good brightness and high sharpness, and the keyboard as well as the trackpad leave a very solid impression. The built-in iPhone chip also ensures smooth performance in everyday use—ideal for office work, streaming, and light creative tasks.
With the MacBook Neo, Apple presents what is likely the cheapest laptop it has ever offered. Of course, there are compromises: no keyboard backlighting, fewer ports, and a simpler trackpad. For power users who need performance-intensive multimedia applications, the Neo is therefore hardly suitable. But that is not the point. It is aimed at beginners, students, and anyone looking for a reliable MacBook at a fair price.
Overall, it is a successful entry into the Apple ecosystem with a clear focus on everyday usability and value for money.
Customers can choose between four color variants: Silver, Blush, Citrus, and Indigo. For around €100 extra, the storage can be doubled from 256 GB to 500 GB—an option that should be seriously considered.

Fried Chicken With Spring Vegetables
You have to try that!
Ingredients: 500 g chicken breast or thighs, 2 carrots, 1 bunch of spring onions, 1 zucchini, a small handful of peas (fresh or frozen), 2 cloves of garlic, 2 tbsp oil, 1 tbsp butter, salt, pepper, a little paprika powder, fresh herbs (parsley, chives).
Preparation: Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and a little paprika powder. In a pan, fry in hot oil until golden brown on both sides, then finish cooking over medium heat. Remove and keep warm.
Clean and chop the vegetables: slice the carrots into thin rounds, cut the zucchini into pieces, and slice the spring onions into rings. First, sauté the carrots in the pan, then add the garlic, zucchini, and peas. Cook everything briefly until crisp, season with salt and pepper, and stir in the butter.
Add the chicken back to the pan, toss briefly, and serve with fresh herbs. Fresh bread or small boiled potatoes make a good side dish.

For Civil Servants and Their Fans
Things to laugh about.
Three little boys are arguing about whose father is the fastest.
The first one says: “My father drives a Porsche and easily reaches 350 km/h!”
The second one says: “That’s nothing. My father is a pilot at Lufthansa and flies a Boeing that goes at least 700 km/h!”
And finally the third one: “That’s nothing at all. My father is a civil servant. He finishes work at five in the afternoon and is home by half past three!”
———
What is a civil servant’s morning prayer?
“Dear God, please don’t make me responsible!”
———
In an office, two civil servants are sitting opposite each other:
“Do you know where my pen is?”
“Yes, behind your ear.”
“Come on, don’t make it so complicated—behind which one?”
